Ruth is an excellent doula, and I am so thankful that we had her supporting us for the birth of our daughter. She was everything that I wanted in a birth support person: warm, kind, highly organised, experienced, and incredibly supportive of my birth plan. She was the best cheerleader before, during, and after birth and always made me feel like I was doing really well.

I was very fortunate that, other than being very long (36 hours), my birth experience was largely in line with my plan and I feel that a substantial part of that was down to Ruth. She strategised when we should go to the hospital to make sure that the birth centre didn't turn us away, and worked together with my husband and midwives to make sure the birth was progressing well. I am grateful that she also supported my husband and let him know when it was safe to get some rest and food. It gave me peace of mind to know that he was being taken care of too.

You won't go wrong with Ruth. Hiring her was the best decision I made with regards to birth prep!.

Ruth has been a key resource for our family when Chris arrived. My sister is a brave single mum by choice in a foreign country and I could only attend Chris’ birth and stay in town for a few days. It was a huge relief for all our family to have Ruth come round and look after Pamela and Chris during the first two months before she could finally travel home. From the day I left, Ruth has taken over and provided all the care and support Pamela needed. She's kept in touch and has taken wonderful pictures of Chris. She helped and encouraged Pamela to breastfeed and supported her through the tough days. It was only because of Ruth that Pamela and Chris made their way home for Christmas. We’re incredibly grateful that she drove them to the airport and checked them in before I could pick them up at the arrival gate in Italy. Ruth has been a formidable companion in my journey to motherhood. I turned to Ruth for birth support as I'm a single mother by choice and I don't have any family in the UK. Our birth plan was quickly overtaken by events. Just a few days before my due date I started developing signs of pre-eclampsia and had to plan for a C-section. Ruth was incredibly flexible as she was initially meant to be in theatre with me but then my sister flew over from Italy and Ruth agreed to convert our birth package into a post-natal one. Her help in the early days of my son's life while I was recovering from my surgery was priceless. She was flexible with her hours, often staying longer when we were taking my baby out for walks or she was trying to assemble baby stuff for me (assembling is such a headache for solo mums!!). She helped me build confidence as a mother, handle all the initial breastfeeding challenges, overcome my fears of taking my baby out alone and showed me how to use the buggy up and down steps and on buses. Ruth has a wealth of experience with babies and having her around made me and my son feel protected and loved. She was there with us during all the key milestones from my son's first month anniversary to his first bath and first flight. She was a source of inspiration when picking activities such as baby footprint artwork and newborn photoshoots. The greatest thing about Ruth is that she truly loves helping people and supporting women in the most important moment of their lives. The sisterhood we have created will last forever.

Ruth has been supporting someone very close to me through pregnancy, and I've been impressed by the way she quietly shows up.
